Mountain Modern Farmhouse Series | A Rumor Design + Build

This Complete reDesign + Addition Has Transformed a House into a Home

Valerie and Bruce of Rumor Designs, the masterminds behind this real life Flip or Flop fairytale gave every ounce of their time and energy to design a home truly fit for the mountain modern family. This project was the first of its kind for the Rumor Team who took on all design and redesign work in house.

The house was originally 2,160 sq. ft. on a .26-acre lot, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a small one-car garage. The new space is 3,202 sq. ft. with four bedrooms including a new master suite, three bathrooms and necessary two-car garage.

More important than an updated aesthetic, the Rumor Team focused in on all of the internal functions and mechanical systems of the house. From running gas heating and reworking the electric to installing new energy efficient windows and roofing, nothing was left untouched.
