Leslie dapper

Lead Designer | leslie@rumordesigns.com

Leslie settled in Steamboat Springs in the 70's and worked with an interior design firm for almost 20 years on local and national projects. She went on to create her own firm, but ultimately missed the synergy and camaraderie found when working as part of a team. She joined Rumor Designs as a Lead Designer in 2013.

The longer Leslie works in the design industry, the more she appreciates design that doesn't go out of style. She loves mixing classic style with contemporary finishes, or old word finishes with contemporary art or furniture.

The new Rumor Designs studio is a great example; with over 100-year-old stone walls and modern art, Leslie finds the timeless balance that makes her happy.

katie Siegel

Lead Designer | katie@rumordesigns.com

Born and raised in Colorado, Katie moved to Steamboat after graduating with an Interior Design + Interior Architecture degree from Colorado State University.

At its core, Katie honors clean lines but finds balance in unique statement pieces that individualize a space. She enjoys the challenge of creating spaces that feel comfortable and "lived in" while also appearing sophisticated and tailored.

She believes in the saying "when you design for everyone, you end up designing for no one" and she encourages her clients to create something special that makes sense for THEM.

With her background in Interior Architecture, Katie specializes in Kitchen + Bath design and thrives in analyzing space + flow, selecting hard surfaces, and designing custom cabinetry.

Morgan Blinn

Lead Designer | morgan@rumordesigns.com

Morgan was drawn to Steamboat Springs for a change of scenery and slower pace after graduating from the Interior Design program at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Throughout her studies, she worked as an intern for the Global Interiors team at Steelcase but ultimately wanted to pursue other avenues of the design world.

She is inspired to create both beautiful and functional spaces using natural materials, bold colors, and mixing styles that are ever present in the mountain modern aesthetic.

In her free time Morgan has enjoyed exploring Steamboat, painting, and can’t wait to hit the slopes come winter.

MARY NORRIS

Mary transplanted to Steamboat in 2019 after a lifetime in the South, mainly Tennessee. She specializes in creating curated, comfortable and classic interiors and believes a home can be stunning yet practical. After spending 15 years in the HR and staffing industry, Mary returned to school to pursue a degree in interior design and then started her own firm. She still has her own studio in Tennessee and handles select projects back East. Mary feels fortunate to have collaborated with amazing clients whose projects have been both published, and won national design awards.

marlyn arellano

Junior Designer | marlyn@rumordesigns.com

Originally from Craig, Marlyn always felt Steamboat Springs was like a second home, so Rumor Designs was a natural fit for her in more ways than one. After attending Heritage School of Interior Design in Denver, she decided she wanted a change of pace and that Steamboat was just the place for that!

Marlyn specializes in kitchen and bath design where she prioritizes functionality while maintaining a stylish finish that she feels is best described as “a blend of wabi-sabi with mid century modern touches.”

With these things in mind, she enjoys space planning the most and believes that everything else in a space is “jewelry.”
